Strata Titles still exist and on occasions need amending but no new Strata Titles may be developed. As Strata boundaries are fixed by existing structures, when buildings are altered or yards modified, for various reasons, the Strata Plan (and hence title dimensions) must be altered to reflect the new ownership prior to any future sale of the Strata Unit.

Commonly this occurs when new carports are built, units are increased in area or unit holders take on more /less of what was common property and now designate it as their own yard.
